Check the DOJ statistics, you’re wrong. God you just don’t care about facts. GO to the government sites and check up on it. It’s common knowledge “dude”.
JYoung3rd on February 4th, 2010 10:29 am
there is only a little over 2 million people in prison in the US you fucktard & the majority of them are white.
i’ll repeat it one more time, get your facts straight before you type that bullshit dumbass.
Alfrunk on February 4th, 2010 11:06 am
Huh? This is common knowledge you moron. There are 3 times as many negros in prison as are in college. MSNBC did a story on it. There are over a million negros in prison. Of course, all dem evil whites just put’em there for no reason, I’m sure! Idiot.
Alfrunk on February 4th, 2010 12:01 pm
You watch this clip and accuse whites of being fearful? Wow you are a real moron!
JYoung3rd on February 4th, 2010 12:24 pm
get your facts straight dummy.
80% of the prison population my ass.
if your gonna throw out statistic atleast make sure they’re correct.
blitzac2005 on February 4th, 2010 12:56 pm
did you know that America is the number one place for people being incarcerated for “petty crimes”.
Black people are thrown in jail for stuff that is looked over in other countries.
idiot.
Alfrunk on February 4th, 2010 1:35 pm
his “theology” is based on nothing but creating victims and convincing people they are powerless against whitey. you are so blind. it doesn’t matter now though, as your boy obama can’t win now. too many red states and evil whites won’t go for his brand of lies.
Alfrunk on February 4th, 2010 2:07 pm
the only anger is coming from wright – get a grip
Alfrunk on February 4th, 2010 2:29 pm
well blacks commit most of the crime in the US – make up 80% of the prison population and only 20% of the population of the US. Statistically, it is a FACT that blacks are more likely to commit crimes against whites. How’s that for a reason to fear another race??
osiris33 on February 4th, 2010 2:56 pm
Love that sermon.
blitzac2005 on February 4th, 2010 3:07 pm
I’m an African American and still cannot understand nor comprehend the fear white poeple have towards other races. It simply just blows me away! I truly love all races and cultures becuase each brings an awesome value to our humanity. So many policies, laws, and actions have been based on fear which has had a disastrous affect on mankind from the shores of America to all corners of the earth. It’s time for the fear and hate to end!!

Are all the cab drivers white? Remember Jesse
Jacksons statements a few years back? There is
a reason. Obama pointed out the realities of
of the black american experience and the roots
of their cause. But he also pointed out the
“anger” in white america and asked black america to recognize their “complicity” in todays race relations. Their is enough blame
to go around. If I vote for Sen. Obama it will be in spite of wright not because of him. His views are what we need to move past.
flrbase1 on February 4th, 2010 3:59 pm
That was a good serom he said two inflammatory remarks, “Nigger” which placed in context he was descibing what blacks are still called and the use of “white” to describe people of European descent. Poltical correctness, has taught us to say the ” majority” Bottpm line, Blacks and White will NEVER come together based on history of what Barack called America’s “original” sin but we can do a better job of tolerating each other
mortie121 on February 4th, 2010 4:47 pm
Thks for acknowledging that it’s yr white mainstream perspective. But think, are y saying that we all need to express ourselves the same way in order to be considered “intelligent” or not full of”crap”?
Try to focus on what’s true in the content(not yr fears) and leave the rest.
mortie121 on February 4th, 2010 4:48 pm
For true dialogue and progress, we’ve got to listen to each other. I agree we need to mve past this but before we do we need to acknowledge the existence of the mindset the pastor talks abt. Look at all these neg. reactions to Obama. Then again, there have been positive. We need to admit certain realities, then move forward.

“The message is for everyone, even people you don’t like”
“I know we got some white members getting nervous, but we’re still in Bible country”
“God cares about poor people as much as he does about Rich people”
“I love my enemies”
Race baiting? I think he got trolled by Ferraro maybe, but the man is not a racist. And if you think the rich and powerful (duh, that’s what it means) haven’t been running the show, well…
But I agree he shouldn’t have gotten pulled in and left race out of it
TeleShaman on February 4th, 2010 5:45 pm
Funny how months ago, everyone thought Mr Obama was a Muslim. Just because of his name. Sad. In reality, its the Rich that don’t want to see A President who’s willing to fight for the little guy. Like he did for so many years on the south side of Chicago. Sen. Obama is more than qualified to be President. He continually shows us that by how he responds to this sort of tactics. I cannot wait to vote for him in Nov. Oh btw. I’m a 35 yr old white guy. (not that that should matter)
TeleShaman on February 4th, 2010 6:14 pm
THAT was awesome! AND So true. I wish CNN and all the other media outlets would show THE WHOLE SERMON instead of the 2 15second sound bites they loop 24/7 to confuse people. NOTHING about this sermon was anything BUT the truth! I was even yelling JESUS at the end.
123tkirk on February 4th, 2010 7:03 pm
jakeb1125, thanks for posting this, it does give the context of his comments on Hillary, but I see nothing to excuse his slaming white America, again. His message, all the way up until his Clinton comments are what I hear, all-be-it not with same style (he’s very good) in my church and he says all that I believe. Christ is the One, he is the light and the truth, and he did live in opressive times. But again, slaming white America gets Wrights followers no where. See my blog, capmsblog.blogspot.c
cyndyrd on February 4th, 2010 7:11 pm
Is he telling the truth? Is it difficult to be poor and black in America? Does white America know what it is to have a 10 cabs pass you by only to see them pick up a white person. This man’s speaks very hard and his delivery can be considered offensive but his word here on this sermon are true.
zealousflow on February 4th, 2010 7:55 pm
This is a rather typically “black” themed and stylized sermon. The only reason it’s getting so much attention is because people seem to think that Obama is the pastor of this church. If a person wants to understand the popular black spirituality and connect with other African-Americans, listening to Pastor Wright is an excellent critical study not just on black thought and ideology, but on popular black leadership.
Pelonetillo on February 4th, 2010 7:55 pm
it is religion after all, lol.
schusterfluke on February 4th, 2010 8:43 pm
The scariest thing about this (from an admittedly mainstream “white” perspective) is the delivery. This guy just scares me. Maybe that is racism. I don’t know. I just think that anyone who wants to listen to crap like this, white or black, is not an intelligent person.
mick0057 on February 4th, 2010 8:52 pm
Still sounds like race baiting to me. Cloak it
in scripture if you like, but when you point
your finger at “rich white” America as evil
you bait Americans to defend themselves which
usualy devolves into name calling. Not a con-
structive dialouge. Intimating there is a white America and a black America does nothing
to advance the debate. It only serves to further polarize and antagonize an already divided voter block. Defending wright can only hurt Obamas positon in the polls.
