What happened, why is he so divisive here at home? Bow to the King of Saud but flips off his political opponents here. Attacks the banks, truckers and Republicans. Attacks the Jews but wishes to make peace with Taliban.
I hate him.

i want to be able to deliver a speech like him. His cadence and charisma is hard to emulate

You have quite obviously never read anything about Marxism and the economic ideas behind it.

Obama stole the show from Kerry and Edwards (ha ha ha). I remember watching the DNC convention back in 04 thinking that it was a little dull until Obama’s keynote speech.
Glad that I found it on youtube and more happy that he won the Presidential Election in 08. Yes You Can! Obama/Biden.

No its not under Bush. This is waht is called ignorance and is all around the world every day no matter who is President.
You need to realize that a President does not influence anything like that. Thats just the way people are and have been.
thomasdm2 on February 4th, 2010 3:58 am
kalvander- You must not know what marzism is beacuse there is nothing in his speech that even hints at that. The fact that he believes in equality of all people makes him a marxist. Wow! You are a perfect example of how fucked up America under Bush has become.

This phrase IMO means you should not just give up because things are tough but have the nerve to “hope” which can give you the courage to move ahead and not give up during the trials and hard times. With no hope, you will give up and quit. It is a motivator to do all the things you say such as invent, create and work hard. I guess this somehow was over your head.
couturehautie09 on February 4th, 2010 5:26 am
He is an amazing speaker- support his policies or not you have to give him that.
TrackRunnaBeatBoi on February 4th, 2010 5:42 am
What a great guy, I hope this man becomes our president. It would be nice to have a president with such intelligence and a broad world view in the oval office.
kcufmalsi on February 4th, 2010 6:35 am
Exactly. you finally got it. LOL is a representation of an affirmative action candidate who wouldn’t have made it past the first primary with his credentials if it wasn’t for liberal white lemmings. (white guilt)

lol!!!

kcufmalsi on February 4th, 2010 7:12 am
Again, it’s a ridiculous bumper-sticker slogan. Recent polls makes me believe that the majority of Americans aren’t being taken in by a Pied Piper.
stardust02us on February 4th, 2010 7:15 am
thats the point, its an oxymoron, a play on words, (case you dont know what oxymoron mean, its 2 words that are opposite of eachother put together, like “the biggest little city in the world”) basically the underline message in his speech is daring to dream, hoping with an urgency
kcufmalsi on February 4th, 2010 7:40 am
“The audacity of hope” is blubbering gobbledy-gook.
Audacity is for innovators, risk-takers and crusaders. Audacity’s not for the passive mob hoping government will fix everything.
Hope is the opposite of audacity. It’s passive, an excuse for inaction.
What on earth does the “audacity of hope” mean? Nothing.

In a country on the brink of military dictatorship, in a government skirting the edge of bankruptcy, in a world on the verge of ecological catastrophe, a presidential candidate’s opinions about abortion and gay marriage should be non-issues. And anyway these issues are decided by the states and by the supreme court, not the president. Better elect someone who might successfully manage to avoid WWIII than a phony ‘moralist’ bent on bombing Iran…
